Sorry everyone for not keeping up with the blog, I will try to make it up to you by overloading you with pictures
On 26/11/2011 we headed down south and met up with Tony’s parents, John and Floss and co, and Ben and Lyss. We went for a day out to the Countrylife Farm and the kids (and adults) had a great time. All the kids got a bucket filled with carrots to feed the animals. There is an enclosure there with guinea pigs, rabbits, chooks and some birds where we could touch and hold the animals.
Hayley feeding some guinea pigs.
Ebby was pretty stoked to pat the guinea pigs but it took her a while before she wanted to hold one.
Haha by the end of the day Zander was trying to pull the guinea pigs heads off!!
Uncle Ben managed to catch a chicken for the kids to pat.
Feeding the goats from as far as possible. This goat was quite aggressive and kept butting the other animals out of the way!
Thought I could hide Zander’s dummy from him…
Obviously didn’t work lol.
Hayley and Riley feeding the animals.
The kids loved spending time with Opa and Oma!!
Ashlyn wanted to have some pictures with the Australian animals to show her class at school. Although she wasn’t keen on getting too close to the emu’s because when they peck it hurts!!
Riley LOVED feeding the emus and put up with a lot of pecks!!
Here he turned around to tell me “it didn’t bite me”
Zander loving the bananas.
Everyone sitting down for some lunch.
Something very exciting was seeing the kangaroos with joeys in their pouch!
Riley had fun bouncing on the HUGE bouncy castle with Oma!
Soon all the kids had to join in
The merry-go-round went every hour on the hour and was included in the entry fee. The kids got to go on twice!!
Tony sporting his mo for Movember
There is also a huge indoor play centre with a few different areas for different ages.
Oma and Opa watching the boys in the toddler area.
Another quick visit to the guinea pig enclosure with Zander. I love his expressions of excitement!
The girls came up to have one last hold of a baby guinea pig.
The boys having a game of table tennis with their mum.
And we couldn’t leave without having a ride on the bumper cars!! It’s quite obvious who was loving it more, the adults or the kids
