I love the garden at our new house! We have such a variety of flowers and plants and just the other day I discovered we have Daffodils!! They would have to be one of my favourites! Here is a collection of some of the photos I have taken in my garden…
This morning Ashlyn asked if she could get earrings. I called Tony and he was all for it so we got ready to go to the shops to get them done. When we got there one of the ladies had just left for lunch and the other was going straight after the first one got back… so we had to go and find something to do for 2 hours…
Finally we could go back and Ashlyn picked her earrings. Some pretty gold stars with pink stones in them. She sat on the chair so proudly, eager to get her pretty ears… then the ladies put the guns against her ears and clunked at the same time. Ashlyn let out a little giggle and then was all tears. I felt so bad for her because all she could say was “But they hurt mummy”. She cried and cuddled me for a little while, and we went down to the shops to buy her something to cheer her up. (probably more to make me feel better for letting her do something I knew would hurt)
Now, only 3 hours later she says that they don’t even hurt, not even a little bit. She is very proud of her earrings and I am very proud of our Big Girl. She knew it would hurt (didn’t know how much though) and she still sat there so still.
Today I am 35 weeks and 2 days pregnant, less than 5 weeks to go now!! The girls love to give the baby kisses and cuddles, and Ashlyn especially loves to feel the baby kick. Ashlyn often grabs a book and ‘reads’ to the baby and Ebony loves to “sing a song” to our baby. I’m sure that when our baby is born I will have trouble keeping the girls away from him/her.
The girls love helping Daddy in the yard… This afternoon the weather was so beautiful so Tony and the girls went out to do some weeding…
Ashlyn knows exactly which weeds to pull out. She watches Tony very closely and then does what he does…
Ebony seems to think that everything is a weed, even this piece of bark. But she had so much fun ‘helping’ and she was so proud of every little bit she picked up. :)
Ashlyn loves to ‘teach’ Ebony how to do things the right way…
Ashlyn was helping Tony to ‘rake’ the leaves (using a broom each because we only have one rake and she likes to be the same as Daddy) Ebby was just happy trying to move the piles of leaves around.
Ebony insisted on ‘helping’ with the bin. Ashlyn is very patient with her.
