more making…

We are going to the FRCSR Fine Food and Craft Market tomorrow and just thinking about all the things that will be there inspired me to do a bit of making… I have bought a couple of sets of clips that I will be picking up there tomorrow so I though I would make something to put them on. While I was in the making mood I decided to make a quick little set of clips to match the board. I have so many ribbons and materials so I think it’s about time I start to make stuff with it. About a week ago I also made a dress for Ebony but have yet to take a photo of it…

Didn’t take long and Zander was loving it too…

Bridezillas :)

Ashlyn decided that it would be fun to be a bride with some of the netting I was using to make a couple of nets to clean the spa water…

And as Ebony has to do everything that Ashlyn does (and the other way around) I had to make 2 ‘veils’. Ashlyn nicely dressed up in a pretty dress and some heels… but all Ebby needed was a bunch of flowers and a veil…

FOOD!!!

Zander has been getting quite grumpy every time we sit down to eat, and we found out that he just wanted to join in :) He was quite happy to suck on a carrot stick… It took a while to convince that it was ok for Mummy and Daddy to give Zander food even though he doesn’t have teeth. :)

 

So the next day when mum called to say she had found some stuff for me at the shops I asked her to grab me a packet of baby rice to see how Zander would go… He absolutely loves it!!! He is so keen that he even started getting grumpy when I took the spoon away from him… Neither Ashlyn or Ebony liked the rice cereal as babies. Zander is only having it with water, not milk, and he loves it :) Hopefully he keeps that eagerness with every new flavour as he gets older (not that rice cereal and water has much of a flavour)

Zander

I have been posting quite a bit lately and just noticed it’s been a while since I did a Zander post :) here is a little Zander fix for all of you who don’t get to see him as much as we do :) I got a box full of gorgeous clothes given to me by my lovely cousin, these first 2 pics are of Zander wearing a really cute little shirt that makes him look like such a big boy :)

Snug in his bed… supposed to be sleeping! :) (I guess it doesn’t help having mummy hanging around with a camera) by the way the bed isn’t too small for him, he just kicks himself to the top…

Baby blanket finished :)

I finished the baby blanket for Manda and Brendan’s baby :) She asked for green and yellow and left the rest up to me :) I am really happy with how it turned out, especially how well the border worked…

Spider again…

I went out again this morning to see if the spider was still there on the rose. The rose has opened up heaps, and yes he was still there… I just think it’s too beautiful to keep to myself :)

Blankets

My first attempt at a crochet blanket… all the squares aren’t exactly the same size so it looks a bit wonky, but my next blanket is looking a lot better :)

 

My next blanket is a gift for my sister for her baby who we hope to meet in January… it’s not completely finished yet but I will share a little clue of the colours. All the fiddly bits of joining and sewing in the ends have been done so it just needs the outside border… still contemplating what would look best… 

That is all you will see till I have given it to my sister. I want her to have received the blanket first :) I also have 2 others on the go, but one is a surprise gift for someone and I haven’t decided yet where the other is going so I will not be posting them yet…

Stop to smell the roses…

I went outside this morning to check the mail and decided to stop and smell my roses :) This is what I found on one of the roses… I love the colour contrast it creates :) I just had to share it
