Movember :)

This year Tony, Jase and Ben decided to grow a mo for movember. They didn’t register this year but hope to next year to help raise money for research into cancers especially affecting men. If you know any of these blokes you will know that it is a HUGE effort to get a pic of even one of them being normal… let alone trying to get all 3 be normal at the same time!! So I had to settle for these pictures Smile Jase has kept his and is thinking about shaving it for a cure Smile

Countrylife Farm With the Dobbes

Sorry everyone for not keeping up with the blog, I will try to make it up to you by overloading you with pictures Smile

On 26/11/2011 we headed down south and met up with Tony’s parents, John and Floss and co, and Ben and Lyss. We went for a day out to the Countrylife Farm and the kids (and adults) had a great time. All the kids got a bucket filled with carrots to feed the animals. There is an enclosure there with guinea pigs, rabbits, chooks and some birds where we could touch and hold the animals.

Ebby was pretty stoked to pat the guinea pigs but it took her a while before she wanted to hold one.

Haha by the end of the day Zander was trying to pull the guinea pigs heads off!!

Uncle Ben managed to catch a chicken for the kids to pat.

IMGP7419

Feeding the goats from as far as possible. This goat was quite aggressive and kept butting the other animals out of the way!

IMGP7424

Thought I could hide Zander’s dummy from him…

IMGP7429

Obviously didn’t work lol.

The kids loved spending time with Opa and Oma!!

Ashlyn wanted to have some pictures with the Australian animals to show her class at school. Although she wasn’t keen on getting too close to the emu’s because when they peck it hurts!!

IMGP7456

Riley LOVED feeding the emus and put up with a lot of pecks!!

Here he turned around to tell me “it didn’t bite me” Smile

The merry-go-round went every hour on the hour and was included in the entry fee. The kids got to go on twice!!

And we couldn’t leave without having a ride on the bumper cars!! It’s quite obvious who was loving it more, the adults or the kids Smile

IMGP7558

The highlight for me was just when we were about to leave and we saw this lovely bird showing off. The noise his feathers made were amazing. He was not impressed with the roosters hanging around. Please excuse the quality of the photos as they were taken on my phone.
