Introducing Matilda Belle

On October 31st 2012 at 10:20pm we welcomed into our family the beautiful Matilda Belle. She was 56cm long and weighed a small 3605gr. I say small because she is the smallest of all our babies so we will get more use out of those size 0000 outfits that she has received as gifts.

She was born with the cord around her neck so had a bit of bruising on her face. Because of this she needed a few minutes with the oxygen and the result of the bruising was a bit of jaundice so she had to go under the lights for 24hrs.

Needless to say she has been very warmly welcomed by her big sisters and big brother! Zander loves to hold her and “pap her” (pat her).

The 3 sisters… The girls needed a quick cuddle before Matilda had to go under the lights…

When we were finally allowed to take Matilda home Zander wanted to carry her out of the hospital! I let him carry her dummy and he was satisfied with that haha

Everyone loves our new little princess…

She already has some boys lining up for cuddles haha


A VERY clucky big cousin Cooper who now keeps asking his mum and dad to “buy one like that” hahaha

Albany in January 2012

Happy new year everyone!! I can’t believe how fast the last year went! And I’m sure that this year will fly by too! Especially the first couple of months when there are so many friends and family expecting babies!!!
And speaking of babies, we saw one very gorgeous baby girl down in Albany! Macy is just adorable and seems to love the camera already!

She even put up with a lot of attention from Zander. He was actually very gentle with her and wanted to give her lots of kisses.

Some other babies that kept Zander getting into mischief were the 3 baby guinea pigs!! It didn’t matter how many times I told him “NO” or how many times his hand got a smack he still had to open the cage. Sometimes just to open the cage and run away so he wouldn’t get told off!! Cheeky little man!

All the kids had fun riding scooters and bikes up and down the driveway! Although after one to many falls off the 2-wheel scooter Ashlyn decided to run for a bit

Zander decided to quit riding for a bit and helped by pulling out a weed. He then became quite fascinated with it and had a few stories to tell. He is just a bit of a chatter box!!

Miss Amaya is absolutely adorable! She is very in love with her blankie and was so proud of herself when she managed to sit it up next to her.

While the kids were playing outside pretty much all day, their dads (+1 uncle Glen) were out fishing!! This is what they came back with!!!!! Of course the girls were pretty proud when they found out Tony caught the biggest one The kids loved picking up the fish while the men were filleting.

Before dinner time Leonie came round with their kids to stay for a feast of fish! Ezra and Zander hit it off right away, I think it may have had something to do with a common interest in the guinea pigs…

This is how we had Ezra and Zander sitting at dinner time and they stayed that way through clean up time. There was a little bit of stealing going on but they sorted it out without arguments
