Ashlyn's broken collar bone

On Tuesday night 7th of Oct, Ashlyn broke her collar bone. Mum and I went to the ED with her and didn't get home till 1am. Tony and I were expecting at least 4 weeks of wearing a sling as they said 6 to 8 weeks!

Turns out she didn't even use it for 2!

As you can see, she is not a happy camper :(



The second day after it happened she wouldn't let me take her pj's top off. She was playing nicely, although very aware of her arm.

The third day after it happened she would let me change her only after I told her we were going with Grandma to buy some birds.

The fourth day she was cleaning my house!! LOL

Still aware of her arm but not so sore any more.

Day 6 and she was already using it!!! She was still being careful but would forget every now and then and hurt it.

15th of Oct, only 8 days on and she wasn't using the sling much anymore!

I went back to the dr with her 2 weeks to the day after it happened. He said she obviously didn't need the sling anymore!! It was still a bit tender but she was using it like it had never been hurt. That went alot quicker than we expected!

The Zoo!

We went to the Zoo with Liam, John, Floss, Hayley, Eric, Son and Isaac. It turned out to be a beautiful day!

The first animal we saw was the big Crocodile!

He is HUGE!!

At lunch time we all had a picnic.

Ebony decided she would rather pass out in the pram

Ashlyn was fascinated by the tortoises, especially the really big ones.

The kids had a great time catching up.

It didn't take them long and they were deep in discussion about it, getting up close and personal :)

We had a great day at the Zoo.

First Tooth!!!!

Ebony got her first tooth on Thursday the 14th of August. She has been quite grumpy but she also has had a cold that has now turned into bronchitis :( .
She has also cut her second tooth already on Saturday the 16th of August!!
2 teeth over a couple of days and with a nasty cold to boot!! No wonder we haven't had much sleep!!!

Ebony's little visitors

Ashlyn loved it when the first time she came to visit her little sister. She wanted to be near her the whole time.

She made sure Ebony had all her toes!! :)
Ashlyn kept trying to get to Ebony in the humidi crib because she thought she looked "freezing cold' with no clothes on.

One of the days that Ashlyn came to visit she was so bombed that she fell asleep on my bed.
Hayley was so proud that she could hold Ebony!

Once Trae got a hold of Ebony he didn't want to put her down!! He deffinitely loves babies!!


Indy absoloutely loved Ebony, she kept giggling at every move Ebony made!

Our New Arrival

We were blessed with the arrival of Ebony Paige on Saturday the 16th of Feb. Everything went well, but Ebony suffered a bit of bruising on her face due to the speed of her delivery! She weighed 3920g (or about 8pounds 10 ounces) She was 55cm long with a head circumference of 35cm.

When Ashlyn came to visit she wanted to hold her baby sister straight away.

Ebony had to be under the light in the humidi crib for 2 days because she became a bit jaundiced (due to her bruising)

She slept well in there because it was so warm.

Being little 'Ladies'

Ashlyn and Hayley were so excited when they saw the big car that Ben and Alyssa had for a wedding car.
Then they found a puddle... They are deffinitley 2 of a kind when it comes to things like puddles!!
They had a great time at their Aunty Lyss and Uncle Ben's wedding!

Helping Daddy and Pop at the workshop

Ashlyn and I visited her daddy and Pop at the workshop. They were working on something for the truck and Ashlyn decided she should help.
She picked up little scrap bits of metal and started poking them in any hole that she could find.
She loves "helping" her daddy.
